This season for the Rangers is going to be interesting. The “Buck Showalter” formula is in effect. That does add some excitement in my mind. More so than anything else. I love the players, I love this team, but the fact that the formula is in effect, that just stirs my spirits in this game beyond anything. First off, looking at this team:
The Rotation as of Today:
#1: Millwood
#2: Padilla
#3: McCarty
#4: Tejeda
#5: Loe or Chen
And what I do like about this team is this factor: There is Volquez, Rheinecker, Koronka, Wright, and Rupe all waiting to start should someone not do the job. And, I did read at one point that Redman was invited to spring training. But I’ve checked and checked to verify, and have not been able to do since. So, I will just keep dancing in my seat hoping to hear and see if that little wish comes true. I’m telling you, the dude would work well here. I’m telling you. Bring him in as a #5, even though Loe is my hero, I’ll let Redman come to work here and let Loe work out of the pen. Loe does good work from the pen, too. Loe did say he likes to work more as an every day type pitcher…
I like that guy, but pet rats? I guess we all have our strange quirks. I wonder what the names are, Pinky and the Brain? Or how about Mickey and Minnie? *Snarf* Anyway.

The Rotation as of Today (win forecast):
#1: Millwood - 17 w
#2: Padilla - 16 w
#3: McCarty - 12 w
#4: Tejeda - 10 w
#5: Loe or Chen
#1: Millwood - 17 w
#2: Padilla - 16 w
#3: McCarty - 12 w
#4: Tejeda - 10 w
#5: Loe or Chen
I like this rotation, with or without Redman, it is a decent rotation. Millwood and Padilla lead it off, McCarty and Tejeda follow, young guns with good experience, followed by another young gun with some good, untarnished experience in the final spot. All in all, the front four should be strong enough for 55 wins. If the bullpen pulls down 30 wins, that would be 85 wins on the season. The number five spot is a maker or breaker on how the Rangers finish the season. Should the number five spot collect 10 wins, Rangers finish with 95… the number five finish with two… 87 wins… but that is how I am looking at the weather forecast right now. Johnny Out.
1 Random Thoughts:
so, are you ready to come out here to Arizona and see a spring training game or two? see how Sammy Sosa fits in the middle of the Rangers' batting order.
