I've never met a mascot before. My son, who is a Junior Texas Ranger, got to meet the Rockie's mascot, Dinger. He actually approached Dinger as a number of mascots walked around the back of the concorse area.
He was quite nervous when he got closer to Dinger. When he approached, he would stay at about a 6 foot distance or so... so getting this picture of Mack shaking hands was a HUGE step.
This is actually when we start to prepare for the picture. The whole process took maybe 7 or 8 minutes... so Dinger didn't do any other photos with anyone else.
And here's the Final Result. A stupid grin of my face, but in a sense, there is some satisfaction that my son got a picture with a mascot, actually of his choosing.
