Rangers beat White Sox, Win Series

Have you noticed? These Rangers have won six of their last seven games to gain the division lead and a 1.5 game lead over the struggling Mariners and the now 500 Angels. Now this has to be cool. They have outscored their opponents by ten runs, the only team in the west to score more than opponents.
Today, the Rangers have moved the team ERA under the five mark, which has happened only once this season. That had followed the third game of the season, when they had finished sweeping the Indians. The following game, they handed out 15 runs to the Tigers... which really hurt then. Padilla's last two starts, he had given up two hits in 15 innings. And only one run. That is an 0.60 ERA over his last two games.

Now, the most interesting thing I think on this... well, one of the most interesting things, is that the Yankees have the MLB WORST Team ERA. It's warming to see such a thing.

The Angels have won today, so the Rangers still hang back at 1/2 game behind the Rangers.

Rangers have 25 stolen bases, which tie them for third in the Majors. First place (Tampa Bay) have twice as much as the Rangers. I think that is a testament to the Rays and a good sign for the Rangers (at having 25 and being in third).

Coming into today's game, the Rangers have had 50 HRs. They didn't hit a HR in the first two games of the White Sox series. And they still have a five HR lead over second place.

Things to think about.

Three of the top four teams in team ERA are AL teams. Five of the eight teams with a team ERA under 4.00 are National League teams.

one nice thing about this recent streak is that the Ranger have demonstrated that they can win on the road.
