Hi, I am back. Here is a list of the rookies the Rangers currently have on the roster and on the DL. This is not a complete list of the rookies the Rangers have used this season, which would be a rather long list, but still, just knowing these guys are on the roster is pretty cool.
That's 11 right there. And there are still Max Ramirez, plus many others who ahve been used...
A look at the starters for tonight... Scouting Report:
Mariners: Feierabend looked solid against the Twins on Wednesday, when he went seven innings and gave up three earned runs while striking out four. He got stronger as the game went along and made a vast improvement upon his last time out against the Twins, on Aug. 17, when he gave up six earned runs in three innings. Two out of Feierabend's three starts since he came up for that first Twins game have been solid, and he's walked only three batters in 15 innings, while striking out 10.
Rangers: McCarthy has made two starts since being recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma. In his last start, against the Angels, he allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings, but the Rangers blew a 5-2 lead and he was left with no-decision. McCarthy is 3-4 with a 3.94 ERA in 14 career games, including 13 starts, at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. He is 0-2 with a 9.28 ERA in four games, including two career starts, against the Mariners.
Forecast: Since the game is starting now, I have to go with a QP and say that the Rangers take this one in a game that is said to be defined by Good Pitching. Score will be something like 5-2.
